The Course

As a dancer, your body is your instrument. How you fuel it directly affects your energy, recovery, and ability to show up fully in the studio and on stage.

This course is designed to help you understand how to fuel your body in a way that supports the real demands of dance. You’ll learn the basics of macronutrients and micronutrients, how to time meals and snacks around rehearsals and performances, and how to sort through common nutrition messages that often leave dancers confused or under-fueled.

If you’ve ever felt exhausted halfway through rehearsal, struggled with recovery, or felt unsure about what or how much to eat, this course gives you practical tools you can use right away. You’ll learn how to build meals and snacks that fit your schedule, support strength and endurance, and help reduce injury risk—without rigid rules or food guilt.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s confidence. When you understand how to fuel your body, you can focus more on your dancing and less on worrying about food. This course is here to support your health, your performance, and your longevity as a dancer.

What you will learn

This course was created to translate evidence-based nutrition science into practical strategies dancers can actually use. Dance places unique and demanding stress on the body, and understanding how to fuel your body can make a meaningful difference in how you feel and perform.

Each module is intentionally structured to build your understanding step by step, so the information feels practical and usable rather than overwhelming. You’ll find clear explanations, dancer-specific examples, and tools you can return to as your training changes. The goal is to help you recognize which foods support your energy and recovery, and how to use nutrition in a way that feels supportive—not restrictive.

This course is meant to meet you where you are. Whether you’re in the middle of a heavy rehearsal period or preparing for performance, the strategies here are designed to support both your dancing and your overall well-being. Over time, this knowledge can shift how you approach eating—not just for dance, but for life—so fueling your body feels more intuitive, confident, and sustainable.
